How much can cost the Wedding of your Dream? Singapore.

Lets start from the beginning. First of all, you must understand that quality products cannot be cheap. Think about yourself: if you are a professional with university degree and experience, I do not think that you will agree to work for half of your salary. So, whatever is below market price, ask yourself: why?

In this article I will give you some tips how to safe money without compromising quality. Keep in mind that I am still talking about high professionals.

Banquet:

1.     Hotel: The price range is between 95-300 SGD per person. Advantages: they provide basic décor, bridal suite. Disadvantage: High corkage for alcohol. It is impossible to get your favorite chef to come and cook for you. For example, if you like French food and hotel does not provide, you will need to choose from menu available.

2.     Restaurant: The price per person can be between 50-300 SGD per person. Advantages: Price and Food. Disadvantage: High corkage for alcohol. No bridal Suite.

3.     Catering: The price range is between 35-200 SGD per person. Advantages: You have huge choice. No limitation. No corkage for alcohol( it will cost you half of the price). Décor can be made without limitations. Your party can last up to 5 am. Disadvantage: Can be high cost of tentage . No sound systems.  Most probably you will need to hire as well toilets….

Emcee:

Good Emcee usually provide you as well sound system package. The cost can range 3000-6000 SGD. If you want Celebrity the cost can range between 15 000-40 000 SGD.

Our company is working only with reputable emcee.  Good Emcee is important for successful wedding.

Some of my couples tell me : My friend got the photographer for 300 or 500 SGD for a wedding shoot. I always ask them: Did you see their photos? In Singapore often couples are willing to spend over 5000 SGD for pre wedding shoot and to safe money for actual day photos. I tell crazy thing : Your pre wedding shoot can be REPEATED. Your Wedding-NOT.

So, why we safe on the moment which cannot be repeated?

Actual day photo with 2 photographers price range will be 1500-4000 SGD. If you booking the agency make sure that they will assign exactly the photographer you chosen.

Pre Wedding Photo Shoot

Do you know what does it mean?
For the most of European Brides-to-be it is something unknown. Before I came to Singapore I even had no idea that such thing exists.
For my non-Asian readers I will explain: pre wedding shoot is a tradition to make the photo shoot in the wedding dress few months before the actual wedding and the album will be shown during actual wedding. The couple would choose around 5 different outfits, different location , including overseas ones. The photos will be made in Vogue  or informal funny styles.
To my big surprise the most of the couples would invest more in such pre wedding shoot then would spend on their actual day photography. Why the Pre Wedding Shoot is more important then actual day photography is still a mystery for me...... Most probably, for the bride it is kind of a dream : at least for a day to be a model and a princess. At least to have ONE photo where you look like THE PERFECT WOMAN from fashion magazine.

Few days ago I assisted my lovely couple to have their shoot. My bride who usually does not wear any make was experimenting with her hair style and OH MY GOD all shades on her eyes. She looked beautiful with different hair styles and colored dresses. Yes, it was nice. Would you ask me what did I remember from that day? It is not that my bride was in the swimming pool with her dress and not her red lips.... NO. I remember the eyes of the groom in the Botanic Garden when he told me : She is beautiful. He had the eyes of the person who just saw a woman of his dreams and he got in love forever. In my heart I felt that : yes, this couple has a big future. I wish them that whenever they will have problems in their marriage they need to remember this photoshoot and to remember the treasure they are having-each other.

Official Marriage after 10 years together.

Few days ago I was in the gym and had a discussion with two ladies. One of them is having a daughter who gonna marry soon. She is already staying with her future husband for few years in the same house. The discussion was: Is it Romantic and special to marry after so many years together? That lady is convimced that such couples should just get married in a simple way: no gown, no reception etc...

I believe that for generation of our parents it was impossible to think that you can live together and having kids without marriage. Nowadays, you see more and more couples having wedding with their small kids on their hands. So, what it is? I strongly believe that our generation is more responsible. We do not want just spend our lives with SOMEBODY. We would like to make sure that our marriage will work.

Me, myself, I got married having already 2 kids of 9 and 3 yo and having relationships for 10 years. Our wedding was a kind of big celebration of our Anniversary. Having in the past ours ups and downs I knew very well how to make our marriage work. All the words I said in the church were 100% true and I know what does it mean: I will be with you in good and bad times. Now I am sure I want to stay with my husband forever.

And my wedding was very emotional and romantic:)
